1997 BLANC DE BLANC - Cuvee de Chardonnay- Au Natural Santa Cruz Mountains

This cuvee of 100% chardonnay is blended to reflect the multi-faceted character of the variety. All EQUINOX cuvees are produced from hand-harvested, whole- cluster pressed, that is barrel-fermented and barrel-aged "sur-lie" for six months prior to "tirage". All EQUINOX Cuvees receive a minimum of four years aging "en tirage" prior to hand-riddling and disgorging, and an additional six months "on cork" prior to release.

Golden hued, with intense aromas of yeast, honey, citrus and hazelnut. A very fine and persistent mousse complements a richiy textured mid-palate with flavors of citrus peel, caramel and fresh
bread. the cuvee finishes bone-dry and clean with lingering notes of hazelnut.

    Vineyards and Harvest: Sourced from the trout gulch vineyard above, Aptos Harvested 22 October 1997 (20.9° brix) 3.11 ph 0.98 grams
    Cellaring: Barrel-aged "sur lie" for eight months
    Tirage Date: 14 may 1998. There were 3421 bottles produced (570 six bottle cases) Ten years ageing "en tirage" (in contact with the yeast) elapsed before riddling and disgorging.
    Disgorge Date: November 2008
    Finish: "Au natural" (no dosage[sugar syrup] added to the finished wine)

BARTOLO 2007 Minerva

Santa clara valley Grenache 47% - Syrah 33% - Mourvedre 20%
Grown on the mann vineyard in the foothills east of gilroy, from grenache and mourvedre vines. Barrel-aged for nine months in neutral oak. Minerva was bottled 15 august 2008.
Production was limited to 231 cases.

Heady, aromatic, floral notes of rhubarb, orange peel and Allspice. Sleek and supple entry flavors of cranberry, peppery Mid-palate, with hints of smoke in the finish. Minerva pairs well with roast turkey, virginia-cured ham and Grilled pacific salmon. Recommended cheeses: english cheddar; French beaufort; vermont shepherd; spanish manchego and zamorano.

BARTOLO 2005 Syrah

Grown on the Mann Vineyard in the foothills east of Gilroy,100% Syrah, aged one year in American & Hungarian Oak. The wine was bottled 5 December 2006. Production volume was limited to 385 cases. The wine was released to market in March 2007.

Bright, berry-like aromatics coupled with characteristic flavors of white pepper supported by notes of oak and sleek tannins on the mid-palate. Crisp, clean finish.

BARTOLO 2006 Merlot

Grown on the mann vineyard in the eastern foothills of gilroy 100% Merlot - Aged two years in American Oak. Harvested 19 october 2006 and was bottled 15 august 2008. Production was Limited to 149 cases.

Effusive aromas of ripeplum, spice and oak. Sweet entry flavors
Of black cherry, sleek, well-knit tannins on the mid-palate are
Framed by notes of dark chocolate and vanilla. Firm, warm finish.

BARTOLO Il Quattro

Grown on the mann vineyard in the eastern foothills of gilroy. A blend of the principle Bordeaux varietals, 80% Merlot -13% Petite Verdot - 5% Cabernet Sauvignon - 2% Cabernet Franc. Aged 19 months in New American. Production was limited to 201 cases.

Broad aromas of ripe plum, ollalieberry and oak. Expansive -
Entry flavors of ripe fruit and vanilla. Solid mid-palate of finely
Textured tannins and dense cassis-blackberry flavors framed by
Well integrated oak. Lingering, clean,warm, slightly edgey finish.
